A Wayuu woman begins learning to weave as a young girl. By the time she creates a bag, she has spent years mastering her craft.
A single mochila can take anywhere from two weeks to three months to complete, worked entirely by hand with no tools but her fingers and her memory. No two are ever the same.

We travel to source directly from Wayuu artisans, choosing each bag by hand. We look for pieces that feel special, a pattern that stops you, a color that moves you, a craftsmanship so fine you have to touch it to believe it. Then we bring them to you.
